Urban Jungle Landscapes is a landscaping business based in the Sutherland Shire. It began as a small business that received no advice on commencement and had no formal record keeping or method of paying accounts receivables or payables.

The challenge

Although the client was experiencing solid growth from customers, there was a need to streamline the administration side of the business. 542 needed to better understand the client’s debtors and cash flow management and current situation.

The process

Stu and his team set about establishing Xero and Receipt Bank. Client received significant training on both platforms. Wage settings and superannuation requirements were addressed and financing facilities were reviewed along with other available options. 542 Partners introduced debtor follow up procedures and assessed director remuneration.

542 Partners were involved in the entire process ensuring the client had peace of mind and understood the financial and tax advice being given.

The result

Urban Jungle Landscape now has an understanding of their current cost structures and has far greater visibility of the true job costs and the margin they make. They have expanded their fleet of vehicles and machinery and as a result have more capacity for growth and can better manage and visualise the numbers.
